What does community mean to you? For us, it’s where friendships begin. Relationships are at the heart of our work at L’Arche. Employees build connections through initiatives like shared living, daily support, and vocational programs. This creates unique development opportunities for L’Arche members while improving their greater communities.

L’Arche homes provide a sense of belonging and community, and offer opportunities to live in mutual relationships across differences. Individuals who desire to join L’Arche as a member of a community’s day or residential program must be at least 18 years of age and have a diagnosed developmental or intellectual disability.

Each L’Arche community is an independent non-profit organization with their own set of admissions criteria.
