The mission of L’Arche calls us “to engage in our diverse cultures, working together toward a more human society.” Within the United States, there are many organizations working with governments at the national, state and local levels to promote justice and full inclusion for all, including persons with disabilities. L’Arche USA and our member L’Arche communities seek to join others in this vital work to the full extent allowed to us as 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations.

One of the major advocacy initiatives at the national level is the Disability Policy Collaboration. Formed by The Arc and United Cerebral Palsy, this collaboration focuses on legislative and legal supports to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families.
